update on dusty. after waiting for months for my normal vet to come back she finally came back. after taking dusty to the vet we ruled out asthma, it very very unlikely, the vets never seen asthma get diagnosed in guinea pigs. now dusty has very likely got scarring on his lungs. look currently we aren't going to put him though the testing to confirm it. we have decided to treat him on a course of Meloxicam to see how he responds to that. a bit of a back story how we landed here with dusty. A few months ago dusty got hit badly with an upper respiratory infection. which can be very dangerous for guinea pigs. dusty pulled though with a course of antibiotics and Meloxicam. but after that he is still getting Weezy to this day. dusty is getting really distressed when he is Weezy and struggling to breathe. we are just taking it step by step atm, we are seeing how he responds to the Meloxicam seeming that inflammatory and pain relief medication. we go back in 2weeks to discuss things more or no improvement.

update on my old man chocolate. long time since an update. chocolate is doing the best he can, he has his bad days and good days. chocolate still on heart meds and 2 different pain relief and he will continue to stay on that for the rest of his life. chocolate is nearly 7yrs old in September. It's been a while since we had to take a trip to the vets and of course I'm taking that as a big win. we are very comfortably managing him very well at home. thank you everyone supporting me tho the hard times with my boys. browny update will be out in the next few days to weeks. #cutenessoverloaded #guineapigs #chocolate #animalsmaketheworldbetter
