Who knew, you can actually save money by traveling full-time on the road. 🤗 Over the next few years Maddy and I plan to save as much as possible while we’re on the road. I’m positive we will have breakdowns and things will go wrong and we’ll have to pay more than expected. But I bet it’s still cheaper than paying rent. To think we can save money while traveling to amazing locations in our cozy tiny home is insane!! How much does our bus conversion cost and how did we pay for it? 🤑 $40,000 sounds like a lot to spend on a mobile tiny home. But the fact is over the next few years we will be saving money by not owning or renting a place to live. Instead we’ll be traveling all around the U.S saving money by staying at BLM land and other free sites. Plus since we decided to take more time and spend more money on our build, we’ll be more than comfortable wherever we decide to go! It’s totally worth it and we can’t wait to get on the road! 😆

We finally got our Hydronic heater for @heatsocom and we can’t wait to test it out! We bought this heater because It will heat our floor, a blower and our fresh water all in one. And it will do all that very efficiently! We can’t wait to test it out but we still have more to do so stay tuned!

We finally painted the bus! Yes, it looks overwhelmingly white right now but in the end only a little bit of that will show through. But now all the wood we have installed should last a long time and stay mold free! 2 of the hardest projects we have done on the bus! The roof raise was by far the hardest but it’s crazy to look back on it now with our ceiling in. Buying a school bus at 18 years old to convert into a tiny home can be scary. Now more than 2 years later we can say that this has been the hardest project we have ever taken on. This last weekend we finally got running water! After many failed attempts, wrong size fittings, and countless trips to the hardware store we we’re finally able to get the right pieces to get the water running! We got an oven! We’re one step closer to moving into our tiny home and getting on the road! This is a 21” oven and stove combo from recpro and it looks amazing! Now we have our, fridge, sink and oven installed and we’re so close to being able to move in! This last weekend we got power! This was such an exciting step and it was all possible thanks to the help of my dad and the 5kw EcoFlow power hub! We can now turn on all the lights inside and outside the bus while running the max air fan to get some much needed air circulation. This brings us one step closer to being able to register the bus and finally get on the road!

We’re finally putting the “Home” in Tiny Home! We can’t be happier with how the bus has transformed over the past months! Our little kitchen and bedroom are looking amazing!! We still have some big projects to finish before we get on the road but the end is finally in sight. We can’t believe it has been 3 full years since we bought the bus when we were only 18 years old! We have come so far and learned so much, it has been a crazy wild journey. A lot of our blood sweat and tears have gone into this project all so we could achieve freedom and travel more, early in life. Were only a few months away from achieving that dream but we still have a lot to do before then. So many exciting things are happening on the bus now! 1) We finally started installing our kitchen! We love the cabinets and counter tops we put in ☺️ We still have the other half of our kitchen to build but we can’t believe how well the first side came out! 2) This reverse osmosis system from @waterdrop_filter is amazing!
