Unlock more confidence with 3 minor tweaks: Eye contact — It’s easy to maintain eye contact while listening though challenging when speaking, because it requires vulnerability. Due to this, we often shy away, fearing judgment or feeling exposed. However, maintaining direct eye contact elevates your presence, increases engagement with your audience, and exudes confidence. Eliminate umms — When nervous, people have a tendency to speak faster and use “umm” as verbal fillers during pauses and moments of uncertainty to avoid silence. However, a confident person is comfortable with silence. Having select pauses in your speech can enhance your words, making them more impactful! Deep breaths — Stress often leads to tense bodies and shallow breaths. Your nerves get the best of you and you forget to pause. However, when you inhale confidence and exhale doubt (deep breaths), you train your nervous system to relax, building confidence from the inside out! Start incorporating these small tweaks gradually, and overtime, you’ll see BIG transformations in your confidence and life! How did this resonate? Let me know in the comments 👉🏼.
