💛 Hi, I’m Brittanny Groover and I was diagnosed with stage 3A Melanoma in 2021 at the age of 27. It was the summer before my son was to start 1st grade, I was beginning my journey as a cancer patient — facing the deadliest form of skin cancer. 💛 #MyCancerBuddy, of course, has to be my one and my only iPhone 13 Pro. 🥰📲 It is how I met ALL OF YOU !! This baby got me through my treatment by keeping me connected from inside a cold, dim hospital room. Surrounded by the voices of other patients, nurses, and the beeping of infusion machines, this iPhone gave me access to the world. I completed 18 infusions of Keytruda throughout 2022 when we were still wearing masks and very much living under quarantine restrictions, especially in cancer centers all around the world. I found my support system through social media connecting me to an amazing and supportive cancer community. I created lifelong bonds and friendships and received more support than I could ever ask for through my CancerBuddy. 💛 Now, I feel lucky to have the @Cancerbuddyapp in my life to connect me with other people going through treatment, as well as survivors, and caregivers. 💛 Use #mycancerbuddy & create a video and share who your CancerBuddy is.
