The most impressive country I went to last year? CHINA 🇨🇳  China is seriously sooooo underrated and it’s so sad how much it’s overlooked as a travel destination compared to other East Asian countries like Japan or Korea. It might be a more difficult country to travel to, but trust me guys, it’s SO worth it 🤩 Send this video to someone you travel China with! 🙏🏽 — #chinatravels #thisischina #china #thingstodoinchina #placestovisitinchina #shanghai #shanghaitravels #traveltochina #chinatrip #chongqing #chengdu #yunnan #lijiang
🇨🇳 Other than the views, there were SO many things about China that blew me away! To name a few: - Cleanliness: Everywhere I went during my two-week trip was so clean; the small towns and villages I visited, the back alleys, and less touristy spots, were so much cleaner that lots of US cities I’ve been to! Okay, I may be over exaggerating a bit, but you get my point 🫧 - Architecture: If there is anywhere that does ancient and modern together best, I swear it’s China. The buildings were absolutely insane, and their old villages were breathtakingly beautiful 😻 - Navigation System: Apps like Uber and Google Maps don’t work in China, but their versions of those have really cool features, including being interconnected with the traffic lights systems so you can see how much longer before they change colors. Simple, but convenient 🗺️ - Bathrooms: Okay this one sounds funny, but yes the bathrooms! I’m not talking about squatty potties, nor am I talking about cleanliness; the codes indicating which exact stall you’re in would really come in handy if you need help 🚽 Yes I know China is huge and just because this was my experience in the two weeks I was there that doesn’t mean all of China is like this, but I just wanted to share my initial impressions based on where I went! If you’ve been to China, what were some things that shocked you (in a good way) 🤔 — #china #chinatravels #shanghai #shanghaitravels #explorechina #chinatrip #thingstodoinchina #thisischina #chongqing #chengdu #lijiang #puer #yunnan #traveltochina #mustvisitplacesinchina #chinacultureshock #thingsinchina

The TikTok ban got you thinking about going to China? Don’t go before until you’ve done your research first! ✈️🇨🇳 Here’s everything to get you started with your trip: 1. Apply for Your Visa 🛂 In order to travel to China as an American citizen, you NEED a visa and you have to get it BEFORE you go. You could go through third party agencies who can handle the visa application for you and bring your passport to an embassy/consulate, but if you want to do it yourself then start with the “China Online Visa Application” or COVA, then plan your trip to an embassy. I found Reddit threads which were useful in filling out the application. 2. Useful Apps📱  Downloading these specific apps will make your life so much easier in China: • 高德地图 Gāodé Dìtú - for navigation • DiDi Rider - for calling taxis • WeChat & Alipay for paying It’s ILLEGAL for businesses to NOT take cash, therefore you CAN use cash; they’ll just mostly likely not have exact change since no one uses cash. 3. eSIM and/or VPN 🛜 Many American apps and websites are blocked in China, so to stay connected then I’d recommend getting an eSIM that bypasses the firewall/downloading a VPN. LetsVPN has the best reviews for this! 4. Where to Start Your Trip 🗺️ For first timers, I’d suggest starting with Shanghai or Beijing! The big cities or tier one cities will be more international and easier for foreigners to travel around. Otherwise another cool city I’d suggest is Chongqing or even Chengdu! There’s actually so much more so I’ll have to make a part two! But feel free to ask me anything in the comments! 🙏🏽 — #china #chinatravel #traveltochina #tiktokrefugee #xiaohongshu #rednote #chinatravelguide #thingstodoinchina #howtovisitchina #wheretogoinchina #rednote #littleredbook #shanghai #chongqing #tiktokban
