It was ENCHANTING to make my daughter’s vision come to life with this homemade Taylor Swift Era’s birthday cake! It’s the first cake I’ve ever made from scratch, and it turned out perfectly! Not professional by any means lol, but it was what she wanted. And it is dye-free too, since my kids can’t have artificial dyes. 🥰 I was worried that the cake would end up looking awful (I have zero experience writing on cakes, much less writing in specific fonts on the SIDE of a cake 🙃) — but now that I’ve done it, I’m encouraged to do it more! Today we said goodbye to Roxie. We knew this day would come, but we didn’t expect it to happen so quickly. She would’ve been 12 years old next month. Yesterday and today we did all the things she loved and gave her all her favorite treats. While going through old pictures and videos of her, I put a few together so the kids and I can watch lots of happy memories when we want to see her again. We are going to miss our noisy girl, but we are glad she isn’t sick anymore. 💔
