My biggest takeaways: when my makeup feels off or looks heavy, it’s usually because I’m not choosing colors that suit me best. I also love black, but it tends to make me feel washed out—especially in the winter. On the other hand, I’ve always felt great in browns and earthy greens, and now I know why: as someone with low contrast, deeper and more muted colors bring out my features so much better. This doesn’t mean I’m banning any colors from my makeup or outfits—I love experimenting. However, I am starting to invest more in brown clothing/accessories over black, and same with creams shades over stark white. And opting for warmer and rosier makeup shades in my everyday routine over cool tones. If you’re in LA, @YONI COLOR STUDIO is the best! Definitely go to her for your analysis 💖
