🍂🎥 Autumn colours & chunky perch. You’re welcome. We love autumn here at AO. Obviously it looks nice. We all know that. But it’s also one of the primo times of year for fishing. In the salt, it’s big bass season. Meanwhile, on the river, falling leaves signals the arrival of predator season. There’s just something about seeing leaves floating downstream on the current that gets your perch whiskers twitching. It’s time to break out the hoodie, rig up the BFS rod and head down to the river.

Absolutely buzzing to see our GT Waterproofs go into production. Here’s some raw footage from the factory - big machines making lots of noise; cutting and stitching hundreds of garments; printing logos at high -speed; precision embroidery. We’re lucky to be working with an awesome factory to make these jackets. Can’t wait to bring you guys the finished product. Will keep you posted on final dates in due course!

🔱 Here’s a little behind-the-scenes action from AO HQ. Prototype No2 of our GT Waterproof arrived recently, taking in a few adjustments to the original sample. The outer shell on these things is a 3-layer nylon fabric with a waterproof rating of 20,000mm and a breathability rating of 10,000g/m2. In simple terms that means these things are waterproof AF, but still with a decent level of breathability so you won’t overheat. Obviously they’ve been off to the lab to have their ratings double and triple-checked by people in white coats, but there’s nothing like testing it for yourself. Here you see us doing a spot of home-made ultra high-tech shower testing. So it was on with the grey sweatshirt (so that any water ingress would show up nicely), shower on full wallop, and 25 minutes of cold water hammering on the jacket. The result? A confidence-bolstering bone-dry interior and a Gold Star from the AO lab. Full production run is now under way, finished products on the way!

💣 All-new Fender 2.0 shirts have landed. Ideally these would have arrived at AO HQ a couple of months ago but, well, they didn’t. Never mind, they’re here now - and rather nice they are too, taking all the best bits from our original Fender range and adding in a few crucial adjustments. 🔱 New mesh side panels?
