There is a formula, or recipe, I use to solve for x (the best tasting espresso shot I can make.) β’ input + time = output Grams in + seconds = grams out The resulting shot should be around 2 times the weight of the coffee you put into the portafilter. β’ The amount of time it takes will tell you more about the grind size and if you need to make adjustments, but we generally look for the shot to reach our goal weight in 25-30 seconds
