Before anyone comes at me - understand that this horse just loves to offer behaviours - so if I’m remotely hesitant or he thinks he knows what’s coming or there’s a little bit of space when I’m trying to and collect myself he will try to fill it- and some days it’s just not that serious. I let him do it because it’s kind of fun.

The goal of this series is to really help draw attention to the difference between words that harm and words that help. If the betterment of horse welfare is truly the goal - choosing words to help, and inspire will do a lot more good than words that harm and hurt and divide There will be different opinions for everything and sometimes it can be emotional and charged for sure - I guess the question I’ve been pondering is what is the real outcome for trying to create here when we use loaded language it definitely goes deeper than just wanting to help the horse. Just some food for thought.

These playlists have forever changed us here. I find it’s really helpful to play them at low volumes and then raise the volume over a couple of days and then the days of the fireworks just crank it so that by time the fireworks start they’re already hearing the noise as you can see. Yes they’re mildly agitated but it’s a non-event so much different than years ago when they would be running, and I was worried somebody would run a fence or get hurt.
