🔥I love having a scoop of @ehplabs Oxyshred before I train but it’s not my only source of preworkout fuel! ⛽️ See your bodies preferred energy source is called glycogen. Which is basically your “carb bank” but when you go long periods of time without eating or if you move around alot, your bodies glycogen stores deplete! 🪫Meaning if you don’t refuel, you won’t have energy for a good workout. 💪🏽This is why it’s important to include real food in your preworkout routine! ⏰ A good rule of thumb is to consume a meal about 90 minutes before you train 🍚🍗🫐🍓I typically eat oatmeal or cream of rice with some fruit and eggs before my morning lifts. But if you workout in the afternoon rice and your favorite protein source(chicken, beef, fish), paired with fruit is a good option. Even if you have the perfect supplementation, you will leave gains on the table if your nutrition is not in check! Let’s level up!
