The method im using in this video is the tempo contrast method. Where you perform the first half of the set at a slow tempo and the second half at a faster tempo. Not only is this fun, but it can help you improve technique.  #workouttips #bodybuilding #weighttraining

It’s no secret that to lose weight you should eat in a calorie deficit and to gain weight you should eat in a calorie surplus But how do we find the number of calories we should eat All you need is your bodyweight and the numbers 10-18 To find a calorie deficit multiply your bodyweight by 10-12 To find maintenance calories multiply your bodyweight by 13-15 To find your surplus calories multiply your bodyweight by 16-18 So if you’re 200 pounds and you want to: Lose weight-  try to consume between 2000-2400 calories Maintain weight- try to consume between 2600-3000 calories Gain weight- try to consume between 3200-3600 These are rough estimates so make sure you adjust if necessary. #calories

Which is basically your “carb bank” but when you go long periods of time without eating or if you move around alot, your bodies glycogen stores deplete! 🪫Meaning if you don’t refuel, you won’t have energy for a good workout. 💪🏽This is why it’s important to include real food in your preworkout routine!  ⏰ A good rule of thumb is to consume a meal about 90 minutes before you train 🍚🍗🫐🍓I typically eat oatmeal or cream of rice with some fruit and eggs before my morning lifts. But if you workout in the afternoon rice and your favorite protein source(chicken, beef, fish), paired with fruit is a good option.
