So I did it. ✅I was in the magazines. ✅I got the compliments ✅I won the contests But after the short lived happiness of every win, I was left feeling empty like I was  worth nothing unless I was winning I thought that if I worked hard and received worldly approval, that would be enough, but I had it all wrong And I think this is a problem many men face today. We constantly see people winning at a hi level and we minimize our wins 👇🏽 We lose 15 pounds, but since we want to lose 50 we don’t even thank God for the progress we made. Then end up self sabotaging and gaining the weight right back! Or even worse, we get in AMAZING shape and build the picture perfect physique, but we can’t enjoy it because we compare it to someone else who’s further along. Colossians 3:23-24 says  “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.” When we train with a higher purpose, seeing our bodies as temples and our discipline as a form of honoring God it transforms the entire journey. Instead of chasing a fleeting image of perfection, we pursue excellence in a way that aligns with faith. So start training as an act of service to God and steward  the health and strength he has blessed you with. And you will feel a deeper sense of Joy and fulfillment! #god

Focus on the function of the muscle and use that muscle to move the weight! 2️⃣Use Progressive Overload! Basically go harder than you did before. Try to increase  the weight, reps, or sets each week. This is going to challenge your body and you will continue to adapt. 3️⃣ Make sure you’re getting enough sleep and fueling your body properly. You can’t expect to build muscle if you’re eating like trash and have poor sleeping habits. The gym, the Word, your habits… They’re not about hype. They’re about becoming the man God called you to be. So get out of your feelings and step into faith.
God’s not calling you to feel ready. He’s calling you to be obedient. You won’t always feel like training. You won’t always feel like praying. You won’t always feel strong. A lot of people press with their elbows flared straight out to the sides but that position puts a ton of stress on the shoulder joint and can lead to pain or injury over time. Instead, try pressing in the scapular plane. That just means keeping your elbows slightly forward, about 30–45 degrees in front of your torso. Why it works: ✅ It aligns your shoulder joint more naturally ✅ It keeps your rotator cuff safer ✅ It allows your delts to do more of the work ✅ It sets you up for stronger, pain-free pressing This simple adjustment can make your overhead or incline pressing feel smoother, more controlled, and more effective. It’s a small change, but one that can help you press heavier and grow bigger shoulders over time.
