Squad 1’s officer suffered some second degree burns but is ok. 🎥: @markdbnfire “Great job by all the crews the other night. Dispatch info and info from police on scene stating the occupant was seen going in the house 20 min ago, neighbors did not see him leave.” “Good door control to start by rescue company. Fire showing on back wall progressing to left wall, right after we made entry fire intensified then got hot and lost visibility. Great job by my partner to know to hit the ceiling as we backed out to keep the flashover off of us completely. Great way to rely on his training. Gear and helmets are damaged, but they did their job and protected us. Never got in more than 5 feet but it was enough for me to do a quick right hand search before we bailed. Our city does not get a lot of arson but marshals will be doing an investigation.” @dearbornfirefighters #BlueCollarFiremen
