Is your horse prone to choke? 🐴 👉 First things first: Make sure to get their teeth checked if you haven’t done so in the last 6-12 months! Choke often happens when horses can’t properly chew their feed before swallowing. 👉 Next, choose the right feed. Pellet size and softness matters! Many senior feeds, like Intensify Senior Therapy, are made with extra-soft pellets that are easier to chew and digest, helping to reduce the risk of choke. ✅ 🌟Pro tip: For added precaution, you can soak or wet the feed to create a mash before feeding.

FACT: The average 1,000-pound horse requires just over five gallons of water per day—and with less pasture and more dry forage in the winter, that means nearly all their hydration needs to come from drinking. ✅ Using an electrolyte and metabolic pH balancer is a great way to increase their water intake! BUT use caution when mixing electrolytes into your horse’s water as some horses can become discouraged from drinking due to the salty taste. We recommend adding powdered electrolytes to your horse’s feed, or dosing orally in a paste form. Hydrate + Recover is available in both forms! ✨
