In 2016 I spent my summer getting ready for what would become the largest mobilization of Indigenous peoples in living memory (for the so-called US & Canada). That was the fight against the Dakota Access pipeline. I went to ceremony w/ my in-laws and one early evening I snapped this photo of my Brother-in-Law as we were out walking. I will always remember that storm and the power of our people that showed up in the months to follow. #NoDAPL EVER AND ALWAYS.
