Because I was in the foster system myself this experience was a little extra special to me. When kids enter foster care, so much of their childhood is taken away from them. Being able to go to Disney land for the first time with them, I got to witness them be able to have to space to just be kids and be full of so much joy and happiness. Thank you @fosterlove for letting me be part of Disney days with you guys. ✨🤍🪄 Disney days is largest sibling reunification event in the country. For many siblings in foster care, creating memories together is difficult. Up to 80% of siblings in foster care are separated. Since the creation of Disney Days 11 years ago, Foster Love has reunited over 2,600 siblings in foster care. This event is 100% a community effort and entirely funded by our generous donors and supporters. Foster Love is non-profit organization that helps children in foster care, nationwide. Their vision is to improve the lives of children in foster care, who often find themselves forgotten and neglected by the public. They offer a wide variety of services and programs that aim to show foster youth they are supported, seen, and loved. As of 2024, the organization has supported over 1 million children in foster care. Please help support their amazing vision, any donation helps, share to help raise awareness, and volunteer! As some of you may know I was in foster care myself and I missed out on those special childhood moments that many people might take for granted. That’s why this experience was a little extra special for me. Being able to help foster youth reunite with their siblings for a day of pure joy and connection. Watching these siblings laugh, play, and simply be kids reminded me how precious family is and how easy it can be to take those bonds for granted. Every child deserves the chance to make special memories with their siblings, no matter their circumstances. For foster youth, those moments together are especially meaningful. Seeing their happiness and love brought so much joy to my heart and felt like a piece of healing.
