y’all can keep trying to downplay how incredible and impactful this app has been and continues to be, but it isnt going to work because it’s so objectively untrue. tiktok has changed so many “average americans” lives; allowing them to create viable businesses, profit off of their creativity, access opportunities that otherwise would’ve been out of reach, build community, crowd, source and crowd fund, organize, learn everything from how to do simple tasks throughout their day-to-day lives to expert skill sets. It’s completely changed the music industry, it’s changed Hollywood, it’s contributed to a new meaning of the word inclusivity. like i said.. I could go on forever. hating influencers is one (weird) thing but continuing to spout inaccurate useless bitter drivel like this is another. people are allowed to be upset about losing their livelihood, community, an application that changed their lives.
