Here at Drinking Horn, we are not just proud of how delicious our meads are, but also in how low impact they can be on both our bodies and our planets resources and systems! •Made from honey •Gluten-free •No added sulfites Our meads are beautifully simple and although we are not allowed to claim any researched anti-inflammatory benefits, these three characteristics have been shown to help! Also, with very low congeners created from fermentation of honey, the morning after feels so much better than many other alcoholic options out there 😌 •Minimal to zero water use in base product (honey) •Extremely minimal ingredient processing and transport •Zero chemical treatment for honey production Compared to all other alcoholic beverages, Mead has such a lower impact on our water and land resources. With no agricultural ingredients to produce (short of a few gallons of fruit juices for some of our varieties) we are able to have a fermentable sugar at almost zero water use. And, because bees take up a minuscule land footprint, their impact on soils and chemical needs is almost zero.
