A post by @dumpedling on TikTok caption: Parables in food 2/22 - Pickled Mustard seeds 🌱 . Parable of the Mustard Seed 🌱 (Matthew 13:31-32). Jesus tells us:
“The kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed, which a man took and planted in his field. Though it is the smallest of all seeds, when it grows, it is the largest of garden plants and becomes a tree, so that the birds come and perch in its branches.” This parable reminds us that even the smallest seed of faith has the power to grow into something extraordinary. A mustard seed, tiny and seemingly insignificant, holds the potential to become a large, sheltering tree. It teaches us that faith, no matter how small, can expand into something immense—offering blessings, sustenance, and refuge to all. To embody this lesson, I chose to pickle mustard seeds. On their own, they’re humble and unassuming, but through care and preparation, they transform into tiny bursts of flavor and texture. Just like our faith, these seeds remind us that growth takes time, patience, and nurturing. As you enjoy this dish, reflect on the potential within you. No matter how small your beginnings may seem, God can grow them into something beautiful and impactful. 🌳 Whether you’re just starting your faith journey or have been on the path for a while, remember: You are destined to become the largest of garden plants—a source of life, comfort, and inspiration to those around you. 🌻 Faith starts small, but with God, its impact is limitless. 🙏 And always remember: Jesus loves you, and so do I! ❤️ . #ParableOfTheMustardSeed #FaithInFood #jesus #ParablesInFood #PickledMustardSeeds #BibleLessons #matthew

The seed represents the Word of God, while the soil reflects the state of our hearts. * 💔 The path is a hardened heart that resists understanding. * ⚡ The rocky soil represents those who embrace God’s Word but falter when life gets tough. * 🌪️ The thorny ground is a heart distracted by worries or wealth. * 🌟 The good soil? That’s a heart open to God—ready to nurture faith and bear fruit. To bring this parable to life, I created chocolate soil 🍫. Sweet, rich, and crumbly, it symbolises fertile ground—perfect for growth. Just as this soil supports life, a heart open to God’s Word provides the foundation for spiritual growth and impact. As you enjoy this dish, ask yourself: What kind of soil is my heart today? I’ve crafted a drink with extra virgin olive oil to symbolise Mary’s purity, with garnishes of Gold Cinnamon and Bitters representing the gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh. . Course 1 - Matthew CH5:13-16 Sermon on the mount - Salt and light - Salt baked Celeriac 🧂 From the Sermon on the Mount, where Jesus calls his followers the “salt of the earth,” By calling them salt, he emphasises their role in preserving goodness and enhancing the world with God's truth,, just as salt preserves and flavours food. So I made a salt baked celeriac to symbolise our preservation of goodness . Course 2 - Matthew CH7:15 -16 False prophets in sheep’s clothing - Braised Lamb shank with Crispy Bacon and Polenta 🐑 For Jesus’s warning about false prophets, who are like “wolves in sheep’s clothing,” I’ve prepared braised lamb shanks with polenta to remind us that true character is found beyond appearances. . Course 3 - Matthew CH26:34 - Peter’s Denial - Triple fried beer and vodka battered Chicken with Caviar 🐔 we delve into Peter’s denial. As the all-knowing God, Jesus foretold that Peter, despite his devotion, would deny him three times before the rooster crowed. When Jesus was captured, Peter’s fear led him to do exactly that, and he wept bitterly. In honour of this moment, I’ve prepared fried chicken with caviar, symbolising both the rooster’s crow and the weight of betrayal. . Dessert - Matthew CH24 - The destruction of the Temple and signs of the end times - Rice pudding Brûlée with Poached figs and Pistachios 🏛 Reflecting on the foretold destruction of the temple and signs of the end times, I’ve made a brûlée rice pudding with poached figs, symbolising destruction and the promise of God’s Kingdom prevailing. . . #jesus #Matthew #bible #christian #christianfood #biblestories #bibleverses #jesus #biblestudy

A post by @dumpedling on TikTok caption: A Menu of Miracles – Inspired by the miracles of Jesus ✝️ .
A journey through storms, crowds, trees, demons, and tombs—each dish telling a story of power, mercy, and resurrection.
. Drinks – Dark & Stormy Mocktail – Mark 4:35-41
As Jesus slept, a violent storm shook the boat. The disciples cried out, “We’re going to drown!” But He woke, calmed the wind, and asked, “Why are you afraid?” I made a Dark & Stormy mocktail to reflect His authority over chaos—the kind that speaks peace into panic.
. Appetiser – Anchovy Crostini with Whipped Ricotta – Matthew 14:13-21
Five loaves. Two fish. A hungry crowd of 5000. Jesus blessed the food, and it multiplied—everyone ate and was satisfied. These anchovy crostini honour that miracle of provision. A small offering, made more than enough in His hands.
. Main 1 – Fig Tart with Caramelised Onion & Goat Cheese – Mark 11:12-14
Jesus found a fig tree full of leaves, but no fruit. He cursed it, and it withered. A powerful symbol of judgment against hypocrisy. This fig tart reminds us: God sees beneath the surface—and He calls us to bear real fruit.
. Main 2 – Pork Ragù – Luke 8:26-39
A man possessed by demons cried out from the tombs. Jesus cast them out, sending them into pigs that rushed into the sea. This pork ragù represents freedom, spiritual deliverance, and Jesus’ ultimate authority over darkness.
. Dessert – Coffee Crème Brûlée – John 11:1-44
Four days in the grave. “Lazarus, come out!” Jesus called—and he did. A miracle of resurrection, life from death. This crème brûlée is rich, bold, and cracked open with light—just like the tomb. A sweet reminder: Jesus makes us alive.
. Every dish points to the King. And you can see His story come alive on the big screen in King of Kings—a powerful retelling of Jesus’ life. Book your tickets and witness the miracles. . Remember Jesus loves you and so do I ❤️ . #jesus #Luke #bible #christian #christianfood #biblestories #bibleverses #faith #Foodforthesoul #jesusmiracles

Jesus healed a man with leprosy with a simple touch when He declared, “I am willing, be clean!” This vibrant, nutrient-packed green smoothie symbolizes that cleansing and renewal. . Course 1 – Mark 7:18-19 - Ricotta with chives and shallots wrapped in parma ham
When the Pharisees judged the disciples for their eating practices, Jesus reminded us that “nothing that enters a person from the outside can defile them.” So I made Ricotta with chives and shallots wrapped in parma ham to celebrate His declaration that all foods are clean. . Course 2 – Mark 10:6-9 - beer battered onion rings with a Chipotle mayo
Reflecting on Jesus’ teaching on marriage—“In the beginning, God made them male and female… What God has joined together, let no one separate” So I made beer battered onion rings with a Chipotle mayo dip to represent the covenant between a man and a woman . Mains – Mark 6:41-44 - Fish O’Fillet 2.0
Remember the miracle of feeding 5,000 with five loaves and two fish? My Fish O’Fillet pays tribute to that incredible moment of abundance, where faith and blessing transformed scarcity into a feast for all. With the tartar being mixed with Caviar. . Dessert – Mark 14:22-24
Journey to the Last Supper, where Jesus broke bread and shared wine, saying, “Take it; this is my body” and “This is my blood of the covenant, poured out for many.” So I made a rich bread and butter pudding with red wine caramel and cinnamon ice cream—a sweet reminder of His everlasting sacrifice. A post by @dumpedling on TikTok caption: Parables of the leaven - Focaccia 🍞 . In Matthew 13:33, Jesus said:
“The kingdom of heaven is like leaven that a woman took and mixed into sixty pounds of flour until it worked all through the dough.” Just like yeast transforms dough, God’s kingdom starts small but grows to make a big impact. I chose focaccia bread 🫒 to bring this lesson to life. Without yeast, the dough stays flat, but as it works through, it creates a light, airy texture. The herbs and olive oil represent the richness of God’s blessings when we let His influence work in every part of our lives. As you break this bread, remember: small acts of faith can lead to extraordinary change. 🙏 And always remember: Jesus loves you, and so do I! ❤️ #ParableOfTheLeaven #FaithInFood #FocacciaBread #BibleLessons #jesus #biblestudy
