This year has been full of work trips and as I make my way back to Omaha, all I want to do is hug all three of my boys and kiss their sweet lil' faces. I'm grateful to have so much to miss when I travel for work, but l'm in a season where I need to hoard as much quality time as possible now-my mind, body, and soul need to miss my favorite people a little less. I've done my fair share of canceling and rescheduling and reworking my schedule over the next four weeks to allow me to not only stay home, but to BE home-physically and mentally present so l can play I Spy on the front porch while eating rapidly-melting popsicles, and enjoy Friday night pizza nights, and read Goodnight Goodnight Construction Sight before bedtime, and get woken up before the sun comes up because we're a safe place for the boys when they're scared of the thunder, and hear August say "OUR QUEEEEEN" when I walk through the door just because he's heard @jonas_myers say that so many times he now says it too. I'm going to store up all the hugs and kisses and cuddles my heart desires and then even more after that. Cheers to a month of rest!!
