She became dependant on the makeup, which must’ve been what pushed her to travel back home and wear it again. Her fungus-depraved system wasn’t able to operate any more, so she had to take drastic measures. In that way, the aurum mycota seems to work like an addiction. I wish I had listened to what she said… Types of Symbiotes: I believe there are two types of infected ponies (symbiotes). The first are what I’ll call Common symbiotes; these are the ponies that simply follow the fungus’ main goal of spreading it to others. Most symbiotes are like this. The second type is what I’ll call Leader symbiotes; these are the ponies that seem to have influence over everyone else. Referring back to what AJ and Rainbow saw at the at the Hospital, I believe they use magic to transfer the life from weak Commoners to themselves to avoid reaching stage 5. Perhaps the creator of the makeup, “Mycota”, is also a Leader symbiote… The Real Self: At certain times, subjects would momentarily seem to be their “real” self, which what I can only assume is them fighting for their brain control, as the book stated*. Although, these moments get rarer as time goes on. *As weeks go by, I am realizing that the initial “Golden Rose” book we found contains information that is not entirely true. For example, we know now there are a few measures to get rid of the plant unlike what the book stated, and the diagrams shown are missing information. Perhaps this means the infection has evolved since the publishing of that particular book.
