I guess in this case Money DID in fact buy happiness?? And Okay I did train him to let me do my crazy dismount because I have Old Lady Bones in a Young Personās Body most of of years together. I bought Karl at 6 so I also wouldnāt say he was a āmadeā or āfinishedā show horse but he was the most chill horse I had had up till them. After a life of riding Anything that came my way and all the quirky AF horses I had as a kid ( most were āfreeā for a reason) I figured I could but myself a somewhat fancy horse from Europe. I love my boy, but it was a process getting him to learn how to āhorseā in the wilds of Alberta ; he had never lived outside before me or seen much of nature. He never really āgot normalā and I am completely okay with him being the biggest weirdo on the farm. He IS the drama. He IS an Icon. He IS the Moment even if he is retired living his best field horse life. He even lives in a herd now with some of the babies which is hilarious because he 1)hated other horses in his field and 2) had always been afraid of ponies or small horses. What a silly guy. He is such a sweetheart. He made me put the work in to get there but once I did the work he was a DREAM ! He won so many derbies and we never even planned on ever doing that.
