Installing some Gentek Align series vinyl siding. This product is a thicker gague vinyl siding and is foam backed, meaning the cavity typically created between the siding and the wall is now infilled with a rigid foam that is glued to the back of every piece of siding (from the factory). Not only will this give a small amount of additional insulation value and reduce thermal bridging, but also makes for a more solid and rigid product. This siding has a 7" expsure so it covers slightly less than a D4 sliding, but it looks more like a concrete board or wood siding. There are some small differences in regards to install compaired to traditional vinyl siding but so far i like it. #constructionlife #caprentry #construction
