I decided to journey out of the bustling city of Tokyo to experience life in Tottori Prefecture, a serene region of Japan known for its countryside charm. As a full-time traveler, I know travel can often be stressful. Long and tedious days, missed connections and poor customer service can make it easy to forget why we travel in the first place. That’s why I chose to fly domestically with @ANA🇯🇵✈️, eliminating those stressors. A trip that would have taken an entire day took only an hour and a half with ANA — all while experiencing the incredible service and care the airline is known for. I’ve spent the past week learning from the San’in region and Chūgoku Mountains in Japan's Tottori Prefecture. I’ve learned how beautiful life is when people, culture and nature collaborate harmoniously. I’ve had many conversations with incredibly welcoming locals about living in the Tottori region - and every time, they respond with wholehearted excitement and pride. I’ve spent so many days biking aimlessly around the countryside, discovering rural towns and landmarks while learning about Tottori’s intricate history, piece by piece. I find familiarity and comfort in the rolling mountains and rugged coastline, which reminds me so dearly of the landscapes back home. My time here in Tottori will always hold a special place in my heart, and I owe a special thanks to @ANA🇯🇵✈️ for this place that I’ve learned so much from. #ANAambassador #FlyANA

A visual journal from Tottori, Japan. This past week, I left the busy streets of Tokyo for the Tottori Prefecture with @ANA🇯🇵✈️ to truly experience what the Japanese countryside has to offer. I’ve spent my days wandering seaside villages and rural plains, bamboo forests and towering dunes… life is vibrant here, colorful. the sounds of children playing in the sand, elders casting their fishing rods on a bright sunny day and the chorus of frogs echoing across the fields below Mount Daisen.
