I’ve been to The Strand Theater before, but I’ve never stood on its stage—never looked out at a crowd from this side of the lights. And now, to be here doing a sold out show, surrounded by so many friends and family, honestly feels like a full-circle moment. Shreveport holds a lot of history for me. It was right here, over a decade ago, that I made the decision to move to Chicago and take a real shot at comedy. I didn’t know what the future would look like. I just knew I had to try. So to return all these years later, with the chance to perform in the town where that dream first took root, means more than I can put into words. Thank you to everyone who’s coming tonight—to those who have supported me since the beginning, and to those seeing me live for the first time on The Flowers Tour. This is more than I could have ever dreamed of but it’s truly just the start.💐
