Making a belt for my Rogue cosplay from XMEN 97. NOW LISTEN- I know this reference is green. But I have always preferred the version of rogue worh her brown jacket and belts so I took some artistic liberties and went with a brown belt and jacket instead. So do not @ me about the colour 😂 This belt is made using brown pleather which was sponsored to me for this project by @cosplayfabrics which is available from @joann_stores Is secures closed with velcro tabs in the front. The belt buckle is made from 3mm Sintra which I got from @cosplaysupplies and I then painted it with red spraypaint and black acrylic paint! I also added some airbrushing to the belt with createx airbrush paints to make the shadows pop more! @moeflavor sent me some of their @Jiggle Defender Body tape to try out! 💜 This tape is supposed to be heavy duty, waterproof and made to last up to 12 hours while wearing so I tested it to see if this was true 👀✨ And it held up through every test I did, even soaking wet it still held on and when I used it during a convention it didn't move at all! I also compared it to 2 other kinds of body tape which did not pass these tests 😱 I never used to be a big fan of body tape because I found it so unreliable but this has changed my mind about it and I'm definitely going to be using this for my costumes going forwards. How I put on and wear my side shave wigs! This particular one is for loona from helluva boss. I've been asked this a few times so I figured I'd show everyone how these wigs work since technically it's only half a wig! I start by slicking back my own hair with hairspray and a comb. Then I braid the other side and pin it as flat as I can get it. I then take my wig and put it into place . This wig has a clip inside so I secure that but I also put in a ton of bobby pins If it's a lacefront you may also need to add some lace tape or glue! How I cover my tattoos for cosplay I use an airbrush with enduraskin airbrush makeup and Eva pro setting spray. ✨ ‼️Now please know - you never have to feel obligated to cover your tattoos in cosplay I often do NOT cover them because I'm lazy and I will just do it for big photoshoots as a personal preference, this is not expected whatsoever and you should never be ashamed of your tattoos in cosplay.‼️ But for those who are interested this is how I do it now. I've had tattoos ever since I started cosplay and used cream based makeup for many years and HATED IT. it was super messy and get everywhere and took hours do apply. Airbrush makeup lets me cover my tattoos in half the time. This makeup is also waterproof so I have literally gone swimming with it at pool conventions. It also doesn't crack or rub off as easily as other makeup. On my hands and fingers this is very important! I will actually struggle to get the makeup off at the end of the day! 😅 Of course with consistent rubbing and sweating in some spots if will flake off a bit eventually but for the most part its way more durable!!! It also applies really smoothly so it can blend with your skin well! But if you don't have an air curler you can use a curling iron as well just make sure you don't set it too hot and let the curls cool down while rolled up! How I made my boots covers for Rogue from Xmen This is a short video but I actually have a full in depth tutorial for this on my YT channel! Originally I planned to just buy a pair of ready made boots but they really didn't fit well and didn't match. So made my own instead! I made temporary covers which slip over a base shoe so they are stretchy and fitted! Then I added some extra details with Eva foam covered in fabric. I used Yaya han yellow and green faux pleather for this. How I made my suit for Rogue from Xmen! 💚 This is probably the most important part of the costume since it makes up .... Well 90% of the costume 😂 I spent a long time making my own custom bodysuit pattern and mockup to get the fit perfect! Then I used yellow and green stretch pleather from @cosplayfabrics for the final version! I also added stretchy heat transfer vinyl for the decals and stitched around them to keep them secure! Im so happy with how it turned out this is the best bodysuit I've made so far!! 🥹 I will be making the mockup pattern I created for a base Bodysuit and leotard on my store tonight!
