For reference I have dry hair, dry scalp and occasionally flaky scalp. My hair rarely gets oily and I wash it about once a week! Philip B oil @camerareadycosmetics @amika Soulfood mask and hydro rush shampoo @theouai leave in conditioner @randco Dallas spray and high dive @aquishair hair towel NOW before you freak out about oils on the scalp I promise you it will change your hair for the better over time (yes even oily hair) Using an oil on your scalp helps to moisturize and help with inflammation or irritation. Used regularly will help your hair get stronger and healthier because of all the added vitamins you are giving your scalp. Leave on for 45 min and make sure to give your scalp a nice 5 minute massage, this is going to increase blood circulation which over time can promote hair growth. A mask is going to be a more concentrated and will help with breakage or damage, and hydrate your hair for a longer period of time. Highly recommend when shampooing to wash twice and on the second wash use a scalp massager, this will again help to stimulate the scalp and get a good clean. Getting out of the shower don’t use your regular towel. Using a towel that is designed for your hair will help to prevent damage and less friction which will result in less frizz and more shine. They can also help to dry your hair quicker. Before any type of product you need to put a leave in conditioner/heat protection in your hair. Even if you aren’t planning on putting heat on your hair this is very important to do as it will continue to hydrate your hair but also make it more pliable for when you go to brush it, which will prevent less breakage. Now I’m showing you my no fuss hair routine, I don’t give myself a full blowout every time i wash my hair but I will always dry my hair at the root to give volume and prevent flaky scalp. I do NOT recommend going to sleep with wet hair as tempting as it is. Hair is most fragile when wet so it can cause breakage but it can also be a breeding ground for unwanted bacteria, fungal infections and irritations on your scalp.
