The best tip I can give to cosplayers is to always try and try again :3 if you cosplay a character and don't like how you look, try and pin point what exact things you don't like about it. Maybe it's the way the wig is styled? you could always try and style the wig differently. Not a fan of how your makeup looks? try a different eyeliner shape or eyeshadow colour (not that makeup is a requirement for any cosplay, it's personal choice) add accessories, make more props, add details like beads, lace or embroidery for example. Make the cosplay tailored to you and not what the cosplay community 'expects' you to do. You don't need to look canon, if I where to be/look canon in Blade I'd need to be a hundred years old psychopath 🤣 do you see the point I'm trying to make? Do what you want to feel good in cosplay (just don't do anything problematic 💀 you know exactly what I mean by that as well)
