A post by @meeshamarie123 on TikTok caption: Chapman suggests that people typically use all love languages, but that most people tend to rely on one love language most of the time. This is referred to as a person’s primary love language. According to Chapman, people are more satisfied in their relationships when both partners match when it comes to their primary love language. However, people experience less satisfaction in their relationships when both partners do not share the same primary love language. Another important aspect of the love languages concept is that relationships are likely to deliver the greatest satisfaction when a person can understand their partner’s love language, and act in ways that “speak to” their partner’s language. In essence, this idea is about tuning in to what a partner wants. #Love #lovelanguage #understanding #compassion #loving #Relationship #relationships #marriage #goals #relationshipgoals #relationshipadvice

A post by @meeshamarie123 on TikTok caption: Love at First Sight in November 2013. ♡ I was 18 years old and taking a greyhound bus across the country in November 2013. I was going from Idaho to Texas on the Greyhound Bus to meet my father for the first time. Little did I know I'd be meeting my husband for the first time. My future husband was taking the Greyhound Bus from being stationed in Washington back home to Texas. In Utah, we were waiting for our connecting bus. I went to the restroom, and my mother started up a conversation with my future husband. She saw his bags were army issued because she is a veteran. She asked where he was heading, and he said Texas. Next, she pulled out my ticket, and they realized we were on the exact same route. Then she asked him to watch over me because I was traveling by myself. I came walking around the corner from the restroom, and he gleefully agreed to have my back since he thought I was gorgeous. When I came walking up, I saw this very tall man at 6'2" with dark brown hair and dimples talking to my mom, and I was completely flabbergasted. She greeted me and introduced us. Within minutes, I could feel the Holy Spirit tell me this is the man I was going to marry. I was a little frustrated because I was on my way to meet my father for the first time. I was not looking for a romantic connection with a guy, let alone something so serious as the man I was going to spend the rest of my life with. Of course, I was undeniably drawn to him and couldn't help to also feel a little excited and nervous. Once our connecting bus got there for us to get on, I called my cousin and I told her that I met the man I am going to marry. She said, "Calm down and you're crazy." I doubled down and said, "No, I'm serious." The entire bus ride was very eventful. It was supposed to be only 36 hours and turned into a 4 day trip. I was on the journey of a lifetime and took lots of photos, not knowing I was documenting the beginning of what truly has been the best blessing to ever happen to me. I have a YT Video on my channel of the story in full detail with all the photos included. You can search on Y o u t u b e: Love at First Sight Meesha Marie. Thank you for reading this far! I hope you have an amazing rest of your 2024. #loveatfirstsight #lovestory #BookTok #romancebooks #Love #TrueLove #soulmates #marriage #marriagegoals #relationships #wife #wifey #relationshipgoals #husband #husbandwife #howwemet #story #storytime #unbelievable #unbelievablestories #amazing #amazingstories #lovestorychallenge #2025 #2013 #itsalmost2025 #meeshamarie #MeeshaandSteven

A post by @meeshamarie123 on TikTok caption: When I look into the eyes of my freshman year photo... I see a little girl whose mother just got clean from methamphetamine for the last time. I see a little girl who almost got adopted in 2008 but chose to decline because she had faith that her mom was going to stay clean this time. I see a young lady who is a year clean from alcohol. A young lady who almost died the year before, in 8th grade, to overdose and who got locked up in a behavior health center due to an attempt to su!cide. I am so proud of the counseling I went to twice a week for 9th and 10th grade then once a week for 11th and 12th grade. I didn't give up and kept my appointments. I see a determination to do well despite the odds. I see the fact that she's going into high school reading at a third grade level because of neglect. I see how she doesn't let that hold her back, and she spends the next 4 straight years with mostly straight A's an occasional B and one single F in 4 years of high-school. I see the self-discipline it took to hang out with friends and go to parties and never drink a drop of alcohol because she almost lost her life in junior high to alcoholism. Her ability and boundaries to tell young men no despite her being the classic walking daddy issue girl. I also see that self-discipline in her ability to work two jobs at the same time while graduating with the 3.6 G.P.A. I am so proud of myself and how I turned my life around once I became a teenager. All of this barely scratches the surface of what trauma I saw growing up. Most of the kids that I went to school with in high school had no idea... They saw my gleaming smile and endless jokes with no mention of the scars on my body. They saw my goody two shoes self at house parties and figured I couldn't hold my alcohol. The boys called me a prude or tease if they didn't like the sound of no to making out or a home run. Literally lost friends because of my standard I held myself at and encouragment I gently gave them with an empathic heart. I can't believe that my mom is still clean today. I can't believe I've been with my husband for 11 years. I can't believe I have three beautiful children. I can't believe I'm alive. #believe #trauma #childhood #highschool #inspiration #hardwork #teenager #abandoned #addictionrecovery
