Just in case anyone was wondering where I stand on this. This video came out in 2016 after the election and i think about this woman sometimes and hope that shes thriving and that she will be making her relatives’ lives hell at thanksgiving dinner again this year. Also, libraries are not neutral, books are not neutral, reading is not neutral. Because libraries represent their communities and books represent ideas. These are never neutral. I went to work every day this week not making a profit for anyone. Just doing what i can to help the person in front of me. Making information accessible feels like a protest and a relief every day.
