A post by @mysanantonio on TikTok caption: Less than one hour away from San Antonio, you’ll find a mineral springs oasis steeped with rich Texas history. Ottine Mineral Springs, a scenic site that once provided healing waters to treat polio patients, underwent major renovations to rejuvenate the sanctuary into a public wellness experience. ☀️🧖

The 40-acre property sits adjacent to Palmetto State Park in Ottine, a little over an hour east of San Antonio, offering classic Texas views of lush treetops. Inside a small town once named Ottine, the establishment opened in June and offers several mineral-rich pools, including two in a highly sought-after private area that can only be accessed through reservations. 📍 #texas #sunmer #getaway #relax #spa

A post by @mysanantonio on TikTok caption: It's more than a race 👟 Sayless Projects, a Texas-based organization, led a 240-mile relay race from Dallas to Austin to raise funds for mental health and suicide prevention. For many runners, the exercise is as much one centered around mental tenacity as it is based on physical strength — but for those who are grieving current or impending loss, it can serve as emotional catharsis. "This is a privilege, to be able to show up for yourself but most important, show up for other people," runner Kimberly Foo said. Read more on the story at link in bio 🔗

A post by @mysanantonio on TikTok caption: If you’ve seen packs of people jogging through downtown New Braunfels on Wednesday nights, no, you're not imagining things. 🏃🏻‍♀️🏃🏻‍♂️ The NBTX Run Club was founded in December 2023 and has grown into a welcoming, community-centered space. The club meets weekly at 7 p.m. in front of Pour Haus and offers several route options to accommodate all levels. The organization offers a 2-mile walk, a self-paced 2.6-mile loop and 4- and 5-mile runs for those looking for more distance. While cities like San Antonio have seen a surge in similar clubs, New Braunfels now has a growing movement of its own. And for many locals, it means one thing: you’ll never have to run alone again.

A post by @mysanantonio on TikTok caption: Historically low water levels led to a frustrating reality for boat lovers as officials closed all 23 public boat ramps at the drought-stricken Canyon Lake nearly a year ago. But, it’s all about the numbers, according to Comal County officials. Following the Fourth of July floods, water levels have rebounded from 60-year historic lows. With the current water levels, officials have slowly begun reopening a handful of boat ramps, so boat lovers can slowly start to rejoice. 🚤

MySA had a chance to talk with longtime boater Jason Taylor to get his thoughts on the recent water level changes. 🌊 #texas #news #sunmer #weather #water #lake

A post by @mysanantonio on TikTok caption: Fans of King of the Hill continue to be shocked that Alamo Beer Co. 🍻 is a real place. But the San Antonio brewery's roots date back to the 1990s, and founder Eugene Simor told MySA its initial trademark process was "totally unrelated" to the series. Those who watched King of the Hill when it aired between 1997 and 2009, or have binged it over the years, are well aware that one of its main characters, Hank Hill, and his friends are known to crush a few Alamo beers. Soon, fans will be able to partake in the Hank Hill-approved tradition at the brewery and beyond when Alamo Beer Co. officially launches Alamo beer on Saturday, July 26 at noon.
