An Endo is a useful mountain bike skill that allows you to lift your back wheel off the ground by braking, for tight turns. 1 - Find a safe practice area. Grass is much more beginner-friendly. 2 - Start at a moderate speed: Start pedaling at a moderate pace, not too fast but fast enough to maintain momentum. 3 - Stand on the pedals with your feet level, knees slightly bent and your weight centered on the bike. 4 - As you approach the point where you want to perform the endo, shift your weight forward slightly by bending your elbows and lowering your chest toward the handlebars. This forward shift prepares you to lift the back wheel off the ground. 5 - Apply the front brake. The goal is to use just enough braking force to lift the back wheel off the ground. 6 - As the rear wheel lifts, keep your weight forward and use your arms and legs to maintain balance. Avoid leaning too far forward, as you could end up over the handlebars. 7 - To bring the rear wheel back down, gradually release the front brake and shift your weight slightly back. 8 - Start by lifting the rear wheel a few inches off the ground and gradually increase the height as you become more comfortable with the technique.
