Trim needs to be caulked, primed, painted more. More trim needs to be installed and tons of other finishing touches to make this room finished but that's the stuff that takes time. It's usually the last 15-20% of the details that seem never ending I thought they would be done before Christmas and that will not be happening but that didn't stop me from decorating. 🌲 just because things aren't perfectly complete doesn't mean you can't decorate. This project was probably my favorite thing in did in 2024 because I finally could organize my things and see what I had. My closet was a black hole that I never wanted to put my effort or money towards because I felt other things were more important but finally I had enough. I gave myself one week and a maximum budget of $500 to transform the space and I made it happen. I used left over carpet from the living room, paint that was purchased for another room that didn't work out, as much salvage wood and trim as I could and used my budget for remaining wood, hardware and accessories. This closet is pretty deep but not very wide but I was determined to get hanging space on both sides and was able to make it happen. I had to go a little bit less than the standard in terms of depth for the shelves but it works and 7 months in I don't regret doing it. Custom closets are great but they can cost a ton but there is plenty you can do even with a smaller budget! #organization #closetdesign #design #DIY #diyproject #closet #homehacks

The last Facebook marketplace purchase of 2024 and the first restyled corner in 2025. Bought this marble cocktail table on December 30th and wasted no time rearranging 🤩 The scale is perfect, the details are amazing and it is a beautiful sold that can work in so many little spots around the house. And now that I think of it everything in this photo was from Facebook marketplace 🤩 -love seat was an amazing deal at $100 -pair of Lee Jofa hollyhock pillows were sold with a matching ottoman and got all 3 pieces for $250 -cocktail table $100 -striped chair was a vacation fb marketplace pickup (my favorite type of souvenirs 😂) and $100 -hand painted were $200 for the pair -mirror was $150 and something I will never get rid of.
