But what if that’s the exact place God wants to shape you? Philemon shows us that God might want us in the very place we want to run from. Don’t run from the noise. Lean into what He’s doing in the middle of it. Obedience doesn’t need things to be neat. It just needs your yes. #christian #christianity

A post by @pastorstevenn on TikTok caption: Paul had every reason to stay stuck in regret. He had a messy past. But in Philippians 3, he said: “Forgetting what is behind and reaching forward to what is ahead…” Your shame? Your failure? That thing you still replay in your head? It’s not a life sentence. If you’re in Christ, it’s already been covered. Growth looks like choosing to press forward even when the past still whispers. You’re not who you used to be. So stop living like you are. #christian

Constantly looking ahead as we reach for Jesus and knowing we are growing from the history we used to live in. Never fully arriving but always reaching towards the goal of being more like Jesus. #christian #christianity #bible

A post by @pastorstevenn on TikTok caption: How to deal with addictions? The truth is they are really hard. It clings onto you and doesn’t want to let go. But there is freedom through Christ. When it comes to battling addictions putting on the full armor of God and trusting God through the entire process is key. Making sure you are fully surrendered. That you put the right people around you, and also remove the people that need to go. That you spend time in God’s presence and with others who do the same. That you use your gifts so you can build up wins elsewhere as God uses you. It’s a big battle so it requires a big response as you pray and seek God for freedom. #christian #christianity #bible #warzone #pastorstevenn

A post by @pastorstevenn on TikTok caption: Everyone wants to feel spiritually mature… but Paul said in Philippians 3: “I press on… forgetting what is behind and reaching forward to what is ahead.” Spiritual growth isn’t about arriving. It’s about daily pressing toward Jesus—even when the middle feels messy. 7 Signs You’re Actually Growing Spiritually: 1. You repent quickly instead of defending your mistakes. 2. You’re more hungry for God than for comfort or approval. 3. You notice small moments where God is moving in your life. 4. You press forward after failures instead of staying stuck. 5. You don’t let past wins make you complacent. 6. You pursue obedience even when it’s uncomfortable. 7. You know you haven’t “arrived”… and that keeps you reaching. True believers never settle—they grow. Which of these 7 do you see in your life right now? #christian #christianity #bible

A post by @pastorstevenn on TikTok caption: What makes a strong man or a strong women? Some say muscles, confidence, or attitude. But I think a stronger man or a stronger women are the ones that can humble themselves to go back and right a wrong. We see this in the book of Philemon when Paul makes it clear that both people in the letter need to go back and right wrongs. That’s the mark of a believer. Because when we are weak then we are strong. So what is God asking you to correct? Where are you needing to go back and say sorry. Imagine the impact this would have on your marriage, your relationships, your profession… if we lead with the ability to turn around when needed and correct mistakes instead of ignoring the things God is asking us to correct. #christian #christianity
