When I tell someone, I’ll take an animal in, I’m not making a promise to the person, I’m making a promise to the animal and to myself. Yesterday after they delivered our hay, mom and I headed out to the Montgomery County Animal Care and Control to pick up a cat that we were tagged in the day before and I had promised I would go get. This baby had been at their shelter since August. After we got on the road we stopped to get gas, I noticed the seat of my truck was wet. I immediately called my OB, she in turn directed me to the nearest hospital. Aunt Paula met us in Clarksville and took Julie (new cat) to my grandmom’s house. Mom and I made our way to the ER, where they took me straight to the maternity floor. Baby Adeline was just playing and kicking around. Felt more like an Olympic Gymnastic Workout 🤦🏼♀️. Please give a shelter animal a home for the holidays. The shelters can only hold so many and unfortunately “so many” is an everyday number.
