Come with me to NYC 🗽 I am very excited to tell you about my recent experience at Zou Zous Eastern Mediterranean restaurant in New York City. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with the warm and inviting ambiance of the restaurant, with bright yellow walls and wooden tables. The decor was elegant and modern, with Mediterranean touches that were perfect for a special occasion. The first dish I tried was the Chickpea Black Garlic Oil Dip, which was absolutely delicious. The dip was creamy and flavorful, with a perfect balance of sweet and spicy. It was served with pita bread and I couldn't get enough of it! Next up was the Whipped Ricotta Saffron Apricots Dip, which was also absolutely divine. The apricots were perfectly sweet, and the ricotta added a tangy flavor that was perfect with the saffron. Finally, I tried the Green Tahini Aquafaba Cilantro Dip, which was a refreshing and unique dip that had a nice balance of flavors. It was a great way to start my meal and left me feeling energized for the rest of the day. Moving on to my main courses, I absolutely loved the Crystal Valley Chicken. It was cooked to perfection, with a juicy and tender interior that was perfectly seasoned. The dish also came with a side of roasted sweet potato, which added a nice crunch and complemented the chicken perfectly. For my red onion and green buttermilk, I was treated to a dish that was bursting with flavor. The red onions were perfectly charred and infused with a delicious chili sauce, while the green buttermilk was creamy and rich. The dish was finished with a drizzle of lemon juice, which added a nice tangy balance to the flavors. Finally, I ended my meal with a visit to the rooftop of Zou Zous, where I sampled the Beirut Beach Club. This tequila, Fino Sherry, watermelon, mint, and apricot Aperitif was absolutely delicious. The flavors were bold and complex, with the tequila and sherry adding a nice spiciness to the otherwise sweet and refreshing watermelon and mint. I also loved how the apricot Aperitif tied all the flavors together, adding a nice fruitiness to the experience. Overall, Zou Zous Eastern Mediterranean restaurant was an incredible experience. The food was delicious, the service was impeccable, and the atmosphere was perfect for a special occasion.
