The project was inspired by the aesthetics of Stanley Kubrick’s ‘2001: A Space Odyssey. Each capsule highlights the nuances and differences between the different types of honey. Through the clear blocks, different textures, colours, and densities can be viewed. Two methacrylate blocks, sealed internally with an O-ring and closed with a visible screw that evidences the concept of the hermetic seal. The honey volume of each capsule is at 90% of its capacity, thus generating the concept of vacuum through an internal bubble. Its movement, derived from the manipulation of the product, expresses the properties of each type of honey (its density, its color, its transparency, etc...).

Created by the renowned sculptor Phidias and his team more than 2,400 years ago, these intricate sculptures once graced the Parthenon, a majestic temple that stood as a symbol of the core of Greek culture and civilization. The missing sister is a symbol of loss and reminds us how important it is to return things that don’t truly belong to us.
