I am no pianist. Rather, I grew up with a family piano that sat quietly in its place. It was so easy to sit down and play when I was casually walking by or bored. Some BIG lessons learned after being in a committed relationship for 6 years: 👇🏽 🌱 It’s easy to stay committed when things are going well. The real testament to the foundation you’ve built is shown through the rough times. Do you run from each other when it gets hard & childhood wounds rise or do you lean in to find which wounds brought about the pain & re-build WITH your love? 🌱 Consciously choosing each other on a daily basis has changed how we move IN LOVE. Just because you agreed you wanted to be together all those years ago does not guarantee the longevity of your relationship nor the commitment remain solid today. Choose to see them every day as they are, choose to grow with them, and choose to love them like crazy TODAY. We’ve made a commitment to incorporating this daily & it has helped build intimacy & align our energy from the moment we wake up so we’re on the same page. 🌱 Have patience. We don’t have full tool boxes coming into love. 🌱 Hold space even if you don’t agree or understand. Not everything has to be agreed upon to be there for your person. 🌱 Having never seen a successful or healthy relationship (between the both of us) means we’re throwing shots in the dark sometimes when it gets tough. You may not know how to care for one another in the ways that are most conducive to a healthy dynamic (yet) & that’s okay. This doesn’t mean you shouldn’t be together. It means you both have a shit ton to learn. Do you want to learn it together? If yes, keep going. 🌱 No matter which partner you choose as your one the same issues will continue to rise in every dynamic until you’re ready to lean into yourself and grow beyond what you’ve known. 🌱 Relationships are mirrors and most people run from themselves and therefore run from relationships when it’s hard. Relationships help us see ourselves because we’re required to see our partners. How deep can you see them & still love? 🌱 Don’t be afraid to go to therapy together. Nobody is perfect and you don’t know everything. Sometimes having a third party observe your dynamic can aid in the growth of your relationship BIG TIME. 🌱 Prioritize intentional time together weekly. Have fun ♥️ #Relationships #Lessons #Growth
