So I removed the ribbon on the brim, steamed and pressed it out and then I had a hatmaker shorten the brim for that typical 1930s look; meaning a short brim and tall crown. The straight center crease in the fedora is also very typical for European 1930s/1940s fedoras unlike American ones that often had a “tear drop” shape in the crown.

POV for this fit was ”1930s shady travelling salesman selling useless and overpriced trinkets”.

To bad I didn’t remember to film the more of the food and the table. Regardless I had a most wonderful evening with good company. I guess forgetting to record stuff is a proof of that. #vintage #interiordesign #vintagestyle #1930s #1940s #stockholm

Vintage 1940s outfit for today’s swing dance session! Quite fitting if you ask me. I can definitely see a young man in 1940s Stockholm wearing this while dancing.

Valborg is an old tradition and a true mark that spring has sprung. It’s also on the same day as his majesty King Carl XVI Gustaf of Sweden birthday. Subtle foreshadowing

A glimpse of my experience during this year’s Stockholm Kulturnatt (Stockholm night of culture). It’s an annual initiative where museums and other cultural institutions are open until midnight free of charge. Among other things I went of a 1940s bus and 1940s tram. I also went to the army museum and ended the evening at Skansen. It was lovely meeting so many great people this evening! #stockholmkulturnatt #stockholm #1940s #vintage

Spring has sprung and I’m wearing brown in town. Very controversial! Haven’t worn this suit in a while and I’m not sure why. It’s a joy to wear. It’s a bespoke Swedish suit made in 1946.

New to me vintage 1950s double breasted tweed suit from PUB. It’s not often you see a double breasted suit in tweed so I’m happy I got this. There’s unfortunately some paint stains on the trousers left that I didn’t manage to get rid of entirely. It used to be a lot worse though. They were massive white paint stains so to me this is wearable. At least with a suit this casual. Any tips from you guys? I feel like I’ve tried it all. #vintage #1950s #grwm #1950sfashion
