At some point I’ll either be deleting this entire account or archiving everything. Yes, it’s helping people, but at the same time I feel it’s hindering my growth going forward. I don’t want everyone around me to always feel like they’re walking on eggshells…like they can’t touch (or talk about) a beer because I’m gonna relapse at any second because of my history. For example, I’d be scared to death to date “me” if I saw all of these posts on here, yet I’m nowhere near the same person I used to be and don’t have any desire to drink/drug whatsoever! I’ll always be open about my sobriety & recovery, but this is definitely overkill! Had a wonderful time seeing The Beach Boys, and my grand total was $4 for the 16 oz (Bubly lime) sparkling water I ENJOYED drinking! Always did despise the taste of beer, yet would spend more on it than the ticket itself! I’d then black out & not even remember the concert. Yuck.
