*Repost from last years Mothers Day* Happy Heavenly Mother’s Day to Haley and happy Mother’s Day to my mom! Weston and I spent some time at the gravesite today. Haley was an incredible mom to Weston! Mother’s Day is tough for me for 2 reasons. One, Haley was put on this earth to be a mom. That’s all she ever cared about. I know more than anyone how badly her heart yearned to be a mom and know how hard she fought to make it a reality. Two, having to explain to Weston why his mom is not here. What does fatherhood mean to me? It means being a strong manly and godly role model to your children. It’s my job to raise Weston from a boy to a man. I’m grateful that I had a dad that laid out a perfect road map on how to be an incredible father. Every thing I do is an opportunity to let Weston tag alone and learn. It’s not always easy since I am on my own and I have to be a mom too but I’m so blessed to have a son like Weston. He IS my entire world. Being a father is the best job in the world and I wouldn’t trade it for anything. I definitely miss reading Haley’s yearly Father’s Day post because she had such a way with words and was always so grateful. The good lord has been good to Weston and I lately. I was taught to always give back and take care of your friends and family. This means so much to me to be able to gift my parents a vacation. They helped me a lot during Haley’s sickness and continue to help me as I navigate single parenting. If you have the means, do something like this for your parents! #grateful #surpise #love #family

It was a blast hosting Weston’s team party at Haley’s family Lakehouse this past weekend. It was such a fun year. The team won the World Series and it’s a memory I won’t forget.
