YES DISNEY!! All the other Disney princesses had/have cultures, and regions where they come from. So, therefore have a (human) race already mapped out. The little mermaid was made and as a mythical fish person and had no race. Disney slapped a white face on her because in 1989 when it was released, like now, a lot of racial stigmatism existed and they probley knew the up roar the release would cause if the character was anything less than white. This new actress is gorgeous and wonderfully talented. I've seen the videos of how proud and excited little black princesses and princes are from all over the world. You can’t tell me that children of color can’t see how ugly the world is with the vast racial indifference that they DO experience every day! Watching the reactions of all these children is absolutely beautiful!! If u don't agree with this movie, fine, but maybe ask yourself why not? Why is it only ok for the white race to feel safe and accepted? Why not all races? It’s just pigment and last time I checked, it doesn’t discriminate. That’s something we are taught as children. Stop teaching hate 🥺
