Our family just returned from an absolutely incredible trip to Iceland, and I can honestly say it was one of the most magical places we’ve ever visited! From the moment we landed, we were surrounded by breathtaking landscapes, and we made the most of every second. Our first stop was the Blue Lagoon, and oh, what an experience! The warm, milky-blue water was unlike anything I’ve ever seen, and it felt so relaxing to just float and take in the stunning lava field surroundings. The kids loved covering their faces in the silica mud masks, and I have to admit—I did too! Next, we went on a whale-watching tour, which was an absolute highlight. Bundled up in warm layers, we set off into the icy waters, and before long, we spotted three humpback whales breaching right in front of us! It was such a surreal and humbling moment to see these massive creatures so close, their tails slapping the water as they dove back under. We also saw dolphins and seabirds, making it an unforgettable experience for all of us. Of course, no trip to Iceland would be complete without exploring the Golden Circle, so we set off on a road trip to see some of the country’s most famous sights. Gullfoss waterfall was absolutely breathtaking, and we were lucky enough to see a rainbow over it. The Strokkur geyser was a huge hit with the kids—it erupted every few minutes, and they were fascinated every time. We also visited Thingvellir National Park, where the two tectonic plates meet. Standing in the spot where history and geology collide was truly special. Iceland was everything we hoped for and more—wild, beautiful, and completely unforgettable. We already can’t wait to go back!
