Paint Memphis this year was a wild experience- 100 artists from all over the world came to share ideas, get to know each others work, and paint a whole bunch of very rad murals. This carousel horse piece took about four working days to complete, and is roughly 13'x28. I've been hand-painting comps for all of my murals this year- I think it's helped my larger scale works be more true to my portfolio. I swe this little scooter in Toulouse this summer and had to paint it. I really want one. Created with soft bodied acrylics on a wood panel. The panel is primed with clear primer. I also like to do my initial sketch directly onto the panel with watered down acrylic, rather than doing a dry media sketch 🛵🛵
