I did not make my dress (its an orignal victorian piece in my colelction) . For my holiday ‘break’ I challenged myself to recreate this original 1920s step in that is in my personal collection. The original is damaged/stained and cannot be cleaned thus making it not a good candidate for wearing. Both the original and the reproduction are made of crêpe silk chiffon and trimmed with antique lace and silk ribbons. As I plan to use mine as a negligee instead of underwear - I upgraded the ribbonwork to something more befitting to decadent lingerie. I made the Ribbonwork flowers are made of custom dyed silk and antique lame ribbons. . . .
