A little update on Archie: Archie was diagnosed with IVDD (Intervertebral disc disease) about 1.5 months ago and has lost almost all of his mobility on his back legs. Some days are better than others. Sometimes his spirits are high, other days he is quite sad and uncomfortable. We have been doing everything we can for him. He was on three different pain medications at one point, has had 8 laser therapy treatments and hasn’t been allowed to move around much. One in four wiener dogs will have or experience an IVDD injury during their lifetime. For now, we’re giving Archie all the love and care that we can, and are looking into getting him a wheelchair in the near future. This has been such a roller coaster from the start, but we’re hoping that with more time and TLC, he might recover soon, or at least learn to go about life with a little doggie wheelchair. 🤎 #IVDD #dachshund #ivddrecovery
