Sprinkle Donut will forever hold a special place in my heart, but choosing to let her go means opening the door for so many others who need saving. Fostering is loving them like your own, then saying goodbye so that the next life can be rescued. Here are just a few of the incredible dogs who took their “freedom walk” before Sprinkle this past year. Each one reminds me why we do this—because every goodbye makes room for another hello. Sprinkle has been an amazing mom, always prioritizing her puppies first at the expense of her own comfort or needs. Now that the puppies are grown, it’s amazing to see Sprinkle finally relax from her mom duties. Yes, Sprinkle, it’s okay to sit at the fence and watch some squirrels! Yes, it’s totally okay to sunbathe for a bit while your puppies wait. Seeing mama dogs act like real dogs is when you know that the circle is almost complete and that she’s ready for the next step 🥺 It’s been a privilege to care for this sweet Donut fam 🖤.
