Thank you so much for pointing out my mispronunciation of albumin in my recent video! 😃 I truly appreciate the chance to learn and grow. 💯 It’s moments like this that remind me that we all improve together when we are open to feedback. 🙂 I wanted to take a moment to share a bit of my story. I was born deaf and didn’t gain my hearing until I was 12 years old. Learning to hear and speak was an incredible journey, but it hasn’t been without its challenges. To be honest, I used to feel a lot of shame and guilt about my hearing disability and speech impediment. 😓There are times I still ask myself, Will my disability get in the way of me becoming a doctor- let alone a doctor that patients can trust with their care? 🥺 But with each step forward, I work every day to overcome that shame. 👏🏾 I know that part of the journey is owning my imperfections, including my occasional mispronunciations, and continuing to refine my communication skills. After all, clear communication in medicine is crucial to building trust and ensuring understanding with patients- a principle I’m truly passionate about. So, while I’m grateful for your constructive feedback, I’m also curious- were there any other takeaways from the video, besides the pronunciation error, that you’d like to dive deeper into? 😃 I’d love to continue this conversation and keep learning alongside all of you. 📚 Thank you again for your support and for being a part of this journey with me. Every step is a learning opportunity, and I’m so glad we’re on this path together. 🥳🤩✨
