Which do you resonate with? A few years ago, I was on the golden career path. On the surface, I was happy and successful. However, I felt dissatisfied with my life and started to experience depression. My weekend drinking habit went from drinking with family and friends for fun to using it as a tool to cope. I often had a few drinks, and more quickly following, that I would brown or black out and not form any short-term memory. Most of the time, I was hungover the following day. One of my clients faced a similar situation. He had a loving family, and on the surface, he appeared successful. However, he wanted more out of life. He had developed a bad habit of consuming a few drinks almost every night after work, and he didn't know how to break the habit. After working together, we discovered the reason why it was difficult for him to stop drinking. 👉 He was using alcohol as a way to release the pressure of the day and unwind. The truth was, he didn't know any other way to cope, and alcohol became his go-to tool to help him do so. Many people rely on alcohol to cope with the stress of daily life. Unfortunately, we are not taught healthy ways to process emotions. If you are struggling to quit drinking or move towards a healthy balance, I’ve got you!
