PLEASE READ!!!! ik some might come for me & use this post to say things about the way i eat, but before you say anything, just watch the entire video. i made this 4 myself cause candy use to be ONE food i’d BINGE SO badly. today, i had a piece & put it away. 😻 (something the old me GENUINELY wouldn’t have been able to do, or probably would have tried but would’ve gotten extreme anxiety going to sleep & end up eating all of it and then some and proceed to say i am NEVER eating candy again “starting now.”) 😃 im sharing this bc on my journey to becoming my best self, i’ve also had to unlearn a lot. when ur not confident in your body & u r so young, there’s so much information coming at u on “how to fix your body”. everyone telling you what’s ‘good’ or ‘bad,’ what you should or shouldn’t eat, etc. it’s literally impossible not to pick up certain ideas, and for a long time, i did and let those CONTROLLLLLL me. this is why i always share, yes i have goals and I DO MAKE sacrifices TO LOOK THE WAY I DO!!!! BUUUUUUUT, i dont accept or agree with diet culture. no food is inherently bad or will ruin your progress. it is all about balance and letting go of ALL the rules we’ve been taught to believe. realizing that alone, has given me sm peace. now ik this all might sound so dramatic and cringe but i don’t even care. if this helps one person, im happy. getting ur dream body doesn’t have to be about restricting or avoiding foods forever. i think u heal binge eating by letting go of rules you’ve made around food & actually proving to yourself you can handle it, especially when it’s scary.  anyways SO MF LONG OMG ik it’s legit just a piece of candy 😭😭😭 but being able to do this is an accomplishment in and of itself 4 me. if u get it, u get it, and if u don’t u don’t. #fyp #BED #bodydysphormia #fitness #caloriecounting #intuitiveeating #weightloss #fatloss #moderation #antidietculture #edrec0very #gymmotivation #healthiswealth #healthylifestyle

Fitness industry lies you've bought into: track your calories to be in control of food Be honest with yourself. Calorie tracking can be a great tool but many of you are misusing it and it's actually become a crutch for you.  Everyday I hear it in my DMs and comments. You track calories because it gives you control over what you eat. Except tracking calories gives you food anxiety and stress and the idea of stopping tracking calories scares the hell out of you. You don't know what to do because when you do stop you over eat and gain weight. So you continue tracking calories because "it works". Didn't you also used to do with weight watchers and low carb? It worked when you did it and you had to go back to it in order to be successful... Yup, calorie tracking has become just another diet for you. I'm not afraid to say it like so many other people in this industry are. Your mental health matters. The idea of control is a lie. What you need to do is learn how to trust yourself. Calorie tracking has given you the illusion of trust, yet you need it to feel good. Sounds like an abusive relationship if I'm being honest. If your friend was struggling with alcohol and the only time they felt normal and in control was if they're drinking... You would be concerned for them, right? So why is that when you do this with calorie tracking... You get commended for your discipline. Make it make sense.
