Waterfalls In AR - Day Trips‼️ Part 1, The Richland Area 5 Easiest Ones! For the first segment of our suggested Waterfall Day Trips – we’re picking the easiest ones to see in the Richland area, although you could easily double the number of falls to visit while you are here. These 5 would perhaps be the best known and are separated by just 5 miles / 15 mins of drive time. 1. Falling Water Falls 2. Fuzzy Butt 3. Intersection Falls 4. Six Finger Falls 5. Keefe Falls If driving from the AR-16 (Ben Hur) side, then you’ll have already passed a couple of roadside falls before you arrive at the first on the list. 📍Falling Water Falls is a roadside fall, and there’s an unnamed fall just around the corner too. 📍Fuzzy Butt Falls (AKA Box Canyon) is just about a 1-mile each way hike, following a very well-trodden horse trail, and would take around 1hr 45 mins or so to complete. You’ll pass by a couple more smaller falls along the way or take a detour up to Horsetail (and Upper!) along the way. 📍Intersection Falls is an often missed find and is a gentle ¼ mile round trip journey that would take about 15 minutes to complete. 📍Six Finger Falls – just a few hundred feet away from Intersection Falls, is almost a roadside fall, indeed being viewable from the parking spot when leaves are off. 📍The trailhead for Keefe Falls is just a little further on down Richland Creek Rd. The volunteer trail is very well trodden, and just a little under ¾ mile each way, taking around an hour to complete. The more adventurous among you may wish to visit Calypso and Splashdown Falls while you’re here – both being much more challenging to access. Total drive time: 5 miles / 15 mins; total hiking time: 3.5 miles / 3 hours. Make a day of it! These are all kid friendly falls and can be found on our kid friendly Falls in AR map – map link in the linktree in our bio!
